项目介绍：
To provide undergraduate-level competency in narrative theory, social construction of memory, and competency in diverse theoretical approaches to history and historiography, society and culture. Students will learn to critically discuss, argue, and appraise cultural and communicative studies readings with their peers. Students will be exposed to readings with individual and collective forms of memory, rituals of commemoration, structure and function of myth, the configuration of plot structures, individual and national narrative expression. Students will be provisioned with training in critical and comparative reading and presentation skills, the use of central concepts, and a comparative approach to historical depth, as well as cultural and social difference. Students will be provided with the academic tools for specialized work through methodological discussions. Students will be provided with evidence-based analysis and expositional writing tools and skills.
本项目将为学生带来大学本科阶段水平的的认为历史叙事理论、文化历史在社会架构下的表现形式讲解、历史知识与史学方法论、社会与文化分析等多种理论方法的拓展学习。项目将采用大量的事实案例，穿越不同时间维度，带领辨析个人与集体对于历史事件的看法与描述。从而深入探讨历史究竟带给了现代人类文明什么样的帮助和深远意义。同时也将探讨现代文明对于关键性历史事件及无有力证据的民间传说的判断依据和考证方法。学生会在小组内和同伴一起展开对人类文化历史的批判性讨论、交流相关领域的书籍。学生还将探究历史中个人和集体的记忆形式的区别，历史记忆的各类仪式的划分与民间神话的结构和功能，社会中个人和国家的对于同一历史事件叙述的区别等。学生会在课程中训练批判性思维和比较性阅读等能力。通过对于史学研究方法论的学习，学生将收获循证分析法和论述性写作的重要技巧。
