项目介绍：
What is morality? Where does it come from, how does it work, what is it for? Once the exclusive preserve of philosophy, these questions are now the focus of intense scientific enquiry ? incorporating insights from game theory, evolutionary biology, animal behavior, psychology and anthropology. The purpose of this course is to review these developments and to arrive at a deeper understanding of this fundamental component of human nature. We will be looking at: the evolution of cooperation, the major taxonomies of moral value, moral decision-making, the development of morality in infants, and cross-cultural similarities and differences in morality. We will end by examining the normative implications of this new science of morality.
什么是道德？道德从何而来？它如何运作又有什么作用？ 这些问题曾是哲学特有的领域，现如今也成为了科学研究的焦点――其中包含了博弈论、生物进化论、动物行为学、心理学以及人类学的各种观点。在回顾这些理论发展的同时，本项目旨在带领学生讨论对道德的这一人性基本组成部分进而得到对于社会道德观与道德本质的更深理解。项目将关注研究：人类群体中合作行为的进化演变、道德价值观的主要分类、道德决策、天性道德观念的发展以及跨文化层面道德的异同。随着项目的深入，导师将带领学生会发掘并定义道德科学的含义。
