计算机科学系为学生颁发硕士和博士学位，旨在为学生提供计算机系统和计算机技术相关的基本理论，设计与应用方面的专业知识和技能。获得计算机科学理硕士学位的学生有能力未来胜任计算机行业或其他重要应用领域的开发工作。本专业硕士至少需要完成36个必修课程的学分，其中21个学分是计算机科学的专业课，还有与数学有关6个学分的课程。对于学习平均成绩在3.75以上的学生方有资格不参加核心测试，只需提交期末论文即可。 本专业毕业生能在科研院所，教育单位，行政管理部门，金融机构，大中型企业等部门从事计算机技术相关的科研教学，软件硬件应用开发和系统维护等工作，或继续攻读计算机科学与技术及相关学科的博士学位。

Recommendation Letter: You are required to send two Letters of Recommendation. Recommendations should be provided by professors, employers, supervisors, or others who are able to comment on your academic achievements, research potential and your professional goals (no friends or relatives please). We ask that you register your recommenders or third-party recommendation service in our online application system. Once registered, your recommenders will be prompted to submit their letters electronically. This method allows you to efficiently monitor and follow up with your recommenders.
