Learning outcomes
Your MSc in Accounting and Finance will provide you with greater knowledge and understanding of this subject area and by the end of your studies you will be able to:
Know and apply accounting and finance theory;
Explain and apply international accounting standards;
Critically evaluate financial statement information;
Evaluate and compare different investments.

Academic requirements
You will need a UK first-class or 2:1 honours degree in one of the subjects below, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline is normally required.
Degrees in quantitative disciplines (e.g. economics or mathematics) or business studies will be considered if you can demonstrate a strong background in accounting and finance throughout your degree.
Supporting your application
You should be able to demonstrate some evidence of mathematical ability.
Relevant work experience is not required but may increase your chances of acceptance.
Relevant professional qualifications will be considered.
Preference will be given to those with grades above the minimum requirements due to strong competition for places on this programme.
IELTS: total 7.0 (at least 6.0 in each module)
You should have a good first degree from a recognised institution, with minimum grades of between 80-85%.
This is the University’s general minimum requirement but some programmes may have specific qualification requirements as well. Entry requirements vary from course to course and in cases there is also variation in the standards required for entry to certain courses. Courses in great demand are likely to require higher entry grades.
