威斯敏斯特大学介绍

威斯敏斯特大学（University of Westminster），为一所研究型大学，创建于1838年，前身是皇家综合技术学院（The Royal Polytechnic Institution），是英国第一所综合性技术学校，于1992年获得大学的头衔。威斯敏斯特大学融入伦敦的商业、专业和学术生活，结合了大都市和国际性的元素，使之成为当地国际性的学校。近年学校积极发展商学院的课程，于2000年获颁英国女王企业奖（Queen's Award for Enterprise），并于2005年再次获得此奖项。
 
威斯敏斯特大学设有6个学院，32个部门和约65个研究中心，学校投入多数资金于校内研究、校园更新，以提供学生完善并先进的设备和学习环境。大学内的硕士课程提供多元素的研究方向，其大众传播科系相当出名，排名英国前5名，建筑和建成环境学院的课程与当地业界紧密的关系使之相当受欢迎并吸引了数千名的学生来此学习，其研究成果被誉为世界的先驱；各学院的研究中心更为当地的机构所认可。
